The cocktail recipe book “A Toast from Coast to Coast” is a remarkable initiative by Canadian company Corby Spirit and Wine, known for distributing iconic brands such as Jameson, Lot 40, J.P. Wiser’s, The Glenlivet, Aberlour, and many more.
This national project brings together over one hundred cocktail recipes from bars and bartenders across Canada — a celebration of creativity, craftsmanship, and the resilience of the hospitality industry.

The Canadian Hospitality Industry Deeply Impacted by COVID-19
The COVID-19 pandemic had a profound impact on bars, restaurants, hotels, and the people behind them.
Since early 2020, the hospitality industry has faced closures, uncertainty, and financial hardship. Even during brief reopening periods, the recovery gap remained significant.
Many bartenders were forced to pivot careers, while numerous establishments permanently closed their doors — leaving behind years of dedication, passion, and sacrifice.
In this context, “A Toast from Coast to Coast” became more than just a cocktail book. It became a gesture of solidarity

Since the book is distributed across Canada, we chose to feature a cocktail that truly represents our classic cocktail bar identity.
Christ Desjardins presents “Remember the Main” — a tribute to both our New Orleans–inspired cocktail concept and our location on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, affectionately known as “The Main” in Montreal.
Within the book, you’ll discover a refined twist on this classic cocktail, itself a variation of the iconic Manhattan. Elegant, spirit-forward, and timeless, it reflects Bootlegger’s commitment to traditional craftsmanship with a modern sensibility.
