A mythical spirit with a greenish tint which has fueled several legends and rumors. The story of absinthe dates back several thousand years when its use was told during ancient Egypt. More precisely in the Ebers Papyrus, which is the oldest recorded medical treatise, written during the reign of Amenhotep I, recognized at that time for its medicinal properties; aphrodisiac and stimulating creativity. However, due to bad press and several unfortunate incidents, absinthe has long been the target of laws that made it illegal in several countries until recently.
