    01- Nose: fruité, pommes, noix, grains

    02- Palate: pommes, céréales, un peu fumé

    03- Finale: courte, assez sec, caramel

    General impression C’est un blend standart, qui est assez connu. Je pourrais le recommander a tout ceux qui veulent essayer un whisky pour s’introduire. C’est un assemblage provenant de plusieurs distillerie, je pense donc que son goût évolue d’une personne a l’autre. C’est un produit très connu et on le retrouve dans la majorité des bars, mais il goûte sûrement meilleur au bootlegger.

  • The Arran Amazon cask

    01- Nose: Floral with notes of chocolate

    02- Palate: Salty caramel and walnut. Midpalate, gives tannic wood-influenced dark chocolate and dry sour cherry. Oaky walnut follows through.

    03- Finale: Dry, earthy and complex

    General impression Amarone is a red wine produced in the Veneto region in Valpolicella. The grapes here are harvested and then taken to cool, ventilated rooms to dry over several months. The raisins, now with richly concentrated sugars, are turned into a dry wine that is high (14-16%) in alcohol with a dark fruit flavor. This single malt is aged first in traditional oak barrels for 8 years before finishing its aging with Amarone wine casks.

  • The Arran Port Cask

    01- Nose: Forest fruity and sweet profiles with earthy notes. The nose offers a slightly salty tang, and winey perfume

    02- Palate: Cereal notes are still present giving you the spiciness, hints of toffee or chocolate. Mature and sophisticated, this is a highly distinguished dram.

    03- Finale: Long and lingering of fruit and aged oak. The after-taste leaves behind flavours of chocolate and walnuts.

    General impression A bold, sweet Port finish from Arran, released in late 2010 as part of the downsized standard offering from the distillery now that their malt is fully mature. Bottled at 50%, so some water may be preferred. Though the Cask Finish line of single malts from Arran lack an age statement, the whisky does age 8 years, more or less, in ex-bourbon casks before then aging in the wine cask, in this case, it is port. They are all bottled at 100 proof and are un-chill-filtered are not peated.

  • The Arran Malt Amarone Cask

    01- Nose: raisins vert, canneberge, vanillé au arôme de chocolat.

    02- Palate: Sur, citronné, vanillé et sec

    03- Finale: semi-longue, fruité, petit goût de raisin, sèche et légèrement amère.

    General impression Le Arran Amarone Cask commence tout d’abord sa maturation en fût de chêne et termine ses années de vieillissement en fût d’Amarone. L’Amarone est originalement appelé Amarone Della Valpolicella. C’est un vin rouge sec italien issue de raisins partiellement séché de cépages comme Corvina, Molinara et Rondinella. Le mot Amarone en italien ce traduit textuellement “le grand amer”. On discernes l’Amarone tout au long de l’expérience. Que ce soit au nez, en bouche ou au moment se la finale, on ressent que le whisky c’est très bien marié avec le côté plus sec du vin italien, ce qui donne un résultat particulièrement excellent.
    (Je recommande l’ajout de quelques gouttes d’eau.)

  • Le Arran Sauterne

    01- Nose: doux, sucré, miel, banane et poire.

    02- Palate: sucré, épicé, chaud, petit goût de caramel.

    03- Finale: longue, épicé et agréable en bouche.

    General impression Le Arran Sauterne est un single malt à 50%. Ce whisky écossais est vieilli 8 ans de manière traditionnel pour ensuite terminer son affinage en fût de Sauterne. Donc un ancien baril de vin blanc sucré (vin dessert) de Sauterne à Bordeaux une région française. C’est ce qui lui donne ses arômes plus douces et sucrés tout en gardant son côté chaud, épicé.

  • Le Arran Port Cask

    01- Nose: doux, léger, sucré, fruité avec arôme de miel.

    02- Palate: goût de porto, arôme épicé et de chocolat, texture légère.

    03- Finale: semi-longue, épicé et sèche.

    General impression Le Arran Port Cask fait partit de la collection “Finish Cask” de Arran. Ce single malt à 50% a d’abord maturé environ 8 ans en fût de chêne. Il termine son vieillissement en fût de vin rouge fortifié portugais (porto). James MacTaggart, le Master Distiller de Arran, s’affaire avec soin de la deuxième maturation question de s’assurer du balancement parfait entre le fût de porto et le Arran Malt qui est de nature plus sucré et fruité. Le produit final s’agence bien avec un plateau de fromage ou tout simplement à la fin d’un repas.
    (Je recommande l’ajoute de quelques gouttes d’eau)

  • Ardberg An Oa

    • 01- Nose: citronné, riche, fumé, vanillé.02- Palate: fumé, épicé légèrement, tourbé, thé noir.03- Finale: très longue, toujours dans le fumé.General impression Le An Oa est un whisky de Islay, Scotland, à 46.6%. La maturation ce fait dans une combinaison de barils incluant ex-bourbon, perdro ximénez (sherry) et virgin oak cask. Le whisky est nommé après la péninsule appelée Oa qui protège la distillerie Ardbeg du climat sauvage de l’ocean atlantique.

  • ARDBEG UIGEADAIL

    01- Nose: caféiné et tourbé.

    02- Palate: tourbé et épicé.

    03- Finale: très longue, caramel, tourbé, café.

    General impression Le Uigeadail est un whisky à 54.2%. En 2009 il a été proclamé “Whisky of the year” par Jim Murray de Whisky Bible. Uigeadail est nommé après le fjord où Ardbeg puise son eau.

    01- Nose: Smells of grass and a fruity mixture of apple and honey

    02- Palate: taste of apple and melted sugar/honey with a hint of rocksalt and cinnamon candies

    03- Finale: Long and rich

    General impression This is an excellent desert whiskey that i could just dream of eating a brownie with

  • The Arran Port Cask

    01- Nose: Rich smells of vanilla and hazeluts with hints of orange peel which seems to be a them with the family

    02- Palate: The soft fruity notes of apples and raisins which comes from its port cask background with a mild cinnammon flavour

    03- Finale: Lengthy but sweet and warming

    General impression all in all even though im not the biggest fan of port, the port cask with the Arran helps accentuate its already sweetish background
