Il y a quelques ann\u00e9es, en lisant un magazine dans un avion, je suis tomb\u00e9 sur un article parlant de la distillerie Bushmills<\/strong>, de son histoire et de son proc\u00e9d\u00e9 de production.<\/p>\r\n

\u00c0 mon arriv\u00e9e, j\u2019ai r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 me procurer une bouteille. Ce fut un v\u00e9ritable coup de c\u0153ur.<\/p>\r\n

Ce moment a ouvert la porte \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte du monde fascinant du whiskey irlandais et de ses traditions<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

L\u2019histoire du whiskey irlandais<\/h2>\r\n

Selon la l\u00e9gende, Saint-Patrick aurait introduit la distillation en Irlande<\/strong> apr\u00e8s un voyage en \u00c9gypte vers l\u2019an 432.<\/p>\r\n

L\u2019Irlande peut \u00e9galement se vanter d\u2019avoir l\u2019une des plus anciennes distilleries officiellement licenci\u00e9es au monde<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

La distillerie Bushmills<\/strong>, situ\u00e9e en Irlande du Nord, poss\u00e8de en effet l\u2019une des plus anciennes licences de distillation datant de 1608<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

L\u2019origine du whiskey et du whisky<\/strong> a longtemps \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9battue entre l\u2019Irlande et l\u2019\u00c9cosse.<\/p>\r\n

M\u00eame si les deux pays sont consid\u00e9r\u00e9s comme des pionniers du spiritueux, plusieurs diff\u00e9rences existent.<\/p>\r\n

La premi\u00e8re est l\u2019orthographe :<\/p>\r\n

Whiskey<\/strong> (avec un \u00ab e \u00bb) est utilis\u00e9 en Irlande et aux \u00c9tats-Unis<\/p>\r\n

Whisky<\/strong> (sans \u00ab e \u00bb) est utilis\u00e9 en \u00c9cosse et au Canada<\/p>\r\n

Au-del\u00e0 de l\u2019orthographe, les m\u00e9thodes de production et les profils aromatiques diff\u00e8rent \u00e9galement.<\/p>\r\n

Comment le whiskey irlandais est produit<\/h2>\r\n

L\u2019une des caract\u00e9ristiques principales du whiskey irlandais<\/strong> est sa m\u00e9thode de distillation.<\/p>\r\n
